Email Setup (Non-SSL)

Default settings for all domains

SMTP

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net (preferred)
  • Port: 587 (PREFERRED), 25, 2525
  • Rate limit: 3000 emails/day

POP3

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net (preferred)
  • Port: 110

IMAP

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net (preferred)
  • Port: 143 (PREFERRED)

Webmail

 

Mail client setup

iOS

  1. Goto Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  2. Select “Add Account”
  3. Select “Other”
  4. Select “Add Mail Account”
  5. Enter the fields

    1. Email: your full email address e.g testaccount@yourdomain.com
    2. Password: The email login password
  6. Select “Next”
  7. Select “IMAP”
  8. Under incoming email server, enter the following
    1. Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net (preferred)
    2. User Name: your email address
  9. Under outgoing email server
    1. Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net (preferred)
    2. User Name: your email address
    3. Password:  The email login password
  10. Select “Next”
  11. It will start verifying the settings and you will be presented with a message “Cannot Connect Using SSL”
  12. Click “Yes” to proceed to setup the account using non ssl channels
  13. Once all settings are verified, you will be presented with the next screen
  14. Just follow the prompts to finish the setup

 

Microsoft Outlook 2013

  1. Click on File

  2. Click on “Add Account”

  3. Click on “Manual setup or additional server types” and then “Next”

  4. Click on “POP or IMAP” and then “Next”

  5. Enter the following information
    1. Account Type: POP3 (downloads everything locally to the client) or IMAP (everything stays on the server, you get a copy on your client)
    2. Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net
    3. Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com or srvX.sgcloudapp.net
    4. User Name: your full email address e.g testaccount@yourdomain.com
    5. Password: The email login password
  6. Your screen should look similar to the one below

  7. Click on “More Settings”
  8. Goto “Outgoing Server” and check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”

  9. Click on “Ok” then click on “Next”
  10. A testing window will pop up, wait for it to complete
    Note: Send test e-mail will take some time as the server is configured to check your IP and make sure it is not blacklisted before it will send out emails from your account

  11. Once you are able to successfully complete both tasks, click on Close
